Kickin' it with Kicker

Today was picture day for Joshua's soccer camp/practice/class/training, Lil' Kickers.  They first did a team picture with Coach Amy, and then they offered the kids a chance to have a picture with Kicker, who is some sort of mascot for the program that I didn't even know existed.  As soon as he walked in the room, one girl burst into tears.  Needless to say, she didn't get her picture taken with Kicker, although I think she will probably get a chance to see Kicker later tonight.  In her nightmares.  Other kids looked warily at him.  Two kids seemed excited.  One of those kids immediately ran over to have his picture taken right away.  That was our little Joshua.  He got right up on Kicker's lap and happily posed for pictures.  A few other kids did as well, though most needed a parent or Coach Amy to sit by them or hold them.  But most of them wanted no part of the terrifying oversized rabbit.  At one point I looked for burst-into-tears girl, but she apparently had long since fled the room.  But I was really proud of Joshua for being the bravest little kid in the whole group.

  1. Even as an adult, I find the concept of an enormous perpetually-grinning rabbit to be terrifying. Clowns are pretty awful too.
