Meet Us in St. Louis

It has been a super beautiful fall here. I decided I wanted to take a fun trip for the weekend somewhere to enjoy a drive in the fall and also go somewhere before it gets too cold to enjoy the outdoors. So last week we decided to go to St. Louis this weekend. We left this afternoon and got there around 5.

We decided to The Magic House, which is a children's museum. They were having a promo, which I was nervous about because sometimes things get crowded when they are discounted, but it was pretty great. They were open until 9 PM, which was perfect for us, and we only paid $15 for our whole family to get in and we got some free things related to fitness like pedometers, jump ropes, and frisbies.

This place was just fantastic for our kids. If we lived closer, we would definitely be members.

Their water-table area was nice and had seats for little kids like Hannah who couldn't stand.

In fact there were a lot of things for Hannah to enjoy, which was really nice because a lot of times she is too small. She loved the mirrors the most. She was like, "Wow, is that stunningly attractive baby me?"

All the kids actually had a really great time. Joshua enjoyed a lot of things, including magnetic fishing, but his favorite was this ball ramp where the ball rang bells on its way down.

He also of course loved the sand table, because sand is one of his favorite things in the world. He enjoyed the climbing equipment, but not as much as Clara. She loves slides and climbing and has little fear, so she had a lot of fun and especially loved the balance beam.

Hannah wasn't too interested in the slides, but she liked looking out at the top and seeing everyone down below.

At the end of our visit, Jason and Clara explored the second and third floors that weren't very stroller-friendly and more focused on science. They had a lot of neat stuff up there that our kids will really enjoy as they get a bit older. We were really excited to experience such a great place, especially for such a reasonable fee. We definitely will go back in the future.

After finishing at the museum, we were really hungry. We had hoped to check out Dewey's Pizza, which is supposed to be super good. But it had an hour wait and a guy leaving said Racinelli's was good too and just across the street with no wait. We went there instead. It wasn't gourmet like Dewey's, but we really enjoyed our New York-Style pizza.

After dinner, we went to our condo so we can get some rest before our trip to the zoo tomorrow.
