Picnic in the Park

We had a pretty busy day today, but a lot of fun.

First Jason took Joshua to soccer. While he was gone, the girls and I hung out. They really are getting to the point where they enjoy playing together and that is wonderful to see.

Next we went on picnic at Kill Creek Park, in Olathe. We hadn't been to that park before so we wanted to see what it was like. It isn't super developed, but it also isn't very crowded so it worked well for us. I really want to make sure we take advantage of summer weather, since the winter was so long this year. Unfortunately it was rather cool and not very sunny today, but still comfortable so we were able to enjoy being outside anyhow.

First we ate our lunch.	Then Jason and the older kids played with balls in the grass.

Then, we walked for awhile on some of the paved walking trails. This was a big hit because Joshua found lots of sticks and dirts to hit with those sticks and Clara got to walk without holding hands. After that, it was pretty much nap time so we went back, but it was a fun little outing that I hope we can do again later in the summer.
