10 Years

Today we had a really nice day in Hilton Head. We slept in, which was fantastic. And then we went out to the beach for some relaxation and reading. This was really enjoyable until a swarm of love bugs came into the beach and pool area. We are hoping it was a one-day-only kind of thing. Though love bugs don't bite, they are super annoying. We had a pretty early dinner reservation anyhow so it really only cut our beach time short by about thirty minutes.

For dinner, we chose to go to Vine, which has exellent reviews. After our meal there, we can see why. Everything was pretty much excellent, including the service. They gave us a complimentary dessert, that was festive as well.

After dinner, we exchanged cards and gifts. We don't really do big gifts because generally if there is something we don't have, it's either because we can't afford it or we don't want it that bad so gifts end up being annoying and not very enjoyable. But we both went with hand-made. Jason made me a really sweet calendar with memories and other little notes on it that I am sure I will enjoy in the coming year. I did something similar for him, but on a less grand scale. We had a really happy day. In some ways it seems like it couldn't have been ten whole years, but in a lot of other ways it seems like we have always been together. We can't wait to see what comes next.
