Missing the Point

Today I gave the kids water guns when we went outside. I was really curious what they would do with them because they aren't huge on squirting or getting their faces wet or anything like that. They mostly used them as unusual water bottles and both drank most of their water. Clara did enjoy it when I squirted her with mine and kept saying more, but Joshua wanted nothing to do with squirting. Hannah stayed in the shade (to some extent. She recently decided to be a normal, motivated baby so she doesn't stay in one place much) and seemed indifferent when I squirted her legs. That's the best case scenario with her right now. She has this new thing that isn't very delightful where she tries to either stand or leap or something. I am not sure what her goal is. But it ends in her falling on her face about half the time she tries it. A photo that didn't make the blog yesterday was my shirt covered in the blood from her mouth when she did that on the hard floor. She also did it today once we went back inside, though luckily she didn't bleed quite as much today, but her outfit was still not something you would want to photograph. So it's a problem and sitting in the shade is great.
