Parent-Teacher Conferences as the Parent
It's been a couple decades since I've had anything to do with parent-teacher conferences. But with a kid now in some form of school, it was only a matter of time until I was re-acquainted with them. I was sort of surprised they have parent-teacher conferences in pre-school, but apparently they do. It was early in the morning, so Meghan stayed with the girls at home, and I took Joshua to the meeting. His teacher, Mrs. Pogue, said he's doing really well overall. He's a sweet little kid who is making good progress on his numbers, letters, shapes, etc. She said he does need to work on his listening, which was not surprising to hear given what we see at home. He spends a lot of time just watching the other kids, and not enough doing some of the activities on his own. She had a lot of feedback, and I was really impressed with the things they work on with the kids and how much they are tracking the progress of each child on so many individual things.
