The Importance of Two Dump Trucks

Today we went outside to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Joshua loves playing in the mulch and today was not an exception. Overall I try not to have duplicates of a lot of toys because we have limited storage space and also I want the kids to be able to share. But a notable exception is we must have two dump trucks. When Hannah gets older, we may get a third. The kids love them so much and it leads to many happy moments outside and in. Having just one leads mostly to arguments, crying, and yelling so it is a vital distinction that improves our lives. I used to have one in storage at all times since I do rotate toys, but now we just keep both out all the time because they are some of our most-used and enjoyed toys (because dirt is probably our number one enjoyed toy really).
Hannah loves the outdoors too. As a small infant she often didn't get to go out with the big kids and she kind of has a chip on her shoulder about it. So whenever the door opens she crawls as fast as she can towards it as if to be certain never to be left behind again. She really loves swinging and today she also had some fun on the slide. Clara also likes these things on occasion, but Joshua generally sticks to the mulch.
