Blood and Cookies

Hannah recently had her 1-year checkup, and as part of that they schedule some bloodwork to be done. I'm a seasoned pro at this sort of thing, so this morning I took Hannah in to get it done. It's horribly cold today, so I bundled her up, and she looked adorable even if she didn't seem to be thrilled with it. The blood draw itself went surprisingly well, especially since Hannah is by far our wimpiest kid.  But she didn't cry at all even as the needle was in her arm, though they then re-tightened the tourniquet which made her cry a little.  Soon we were done, though, and we headed back home.

When Hannah and  I got home, I saw that there was a major kitchen project going on. Meghan and her two little helpers were making some gingersnap cookies.  It's not the Christmas season without Meghan's gingersnaps, Meghan's cranberry and white chocolate chip cookies, and Grandma Hall's sugar cookies.  One down, two to go.

So yes, this post involved both blood and cookies, as promised.
